FM:Systems ® CAFM  Software – Space Management – Basic Training

Course Number:  AKA-TFMBASIC01

Duration:  4-Days, 8 AM – 5 PM

Cost:  $ 2,400 – TOTAL GROUP PRICE – Group Training Class up to 6 Students. ($400/student, with minimum charge of $2,400 per class, regardless of class size.)

Overview:  Hands-On Basic Overview of FM:Systems Space ® Software and built-in FoxPro ® database.  Students learn how to setup and create a new FMS project database and input all of their buildings, floors, and space inventory.  Students will learn the basic modules within the FM:Space ® Software, how to install the FM:Space ® on client PCs, and learn how to install the CAD Integrator with FM:Space toolbar in AutoCAD ® .  Students will learn how to make simple database structural changes to add new tables and/or add, modify data fields, modify Activities, modify Views, create basic reports, and learn about the various Utilities functions.  Students learn how to import their facility CAD floor plans, setup layers, layer-sets, cross-hatching, and graphic views.  Other topics include: Basic BOMA Polylining, Creating dynamic drawing queries, using Drawing Symbols (template symbols library), Room-Tagging and attaching data to the CAD floor plans.  Students will learn how to maintain their existing FM:Systems Space ® project data and be able to make simple space-planning “reconfigurations” and basic Moves/Adds/Changes of offices, cubicles, personnel.

Pre-Requisite:  Microsoft Windows ® experience.  Ability to cut/copy/paste objects within a document or drawing.  Ideally, student has some background in CAD.


FM:Systems ® CAFM Software – Space Management – Advanced Training

Course Number:   AKA-TFMADVANCE01

Duration:  3-Days, 8 AM – 5 PM

Cost:  $ 1,800 – TOTAL GROUP PRICE – Group Training Class up to 6 Students.  ($300/student, with minimum charge of $1,800 per class, regardless of class size.)

Overview:  Hands-On Advanced FM:Systems Space ® training.  Students will learn to design and modify advanced database elements, including indexes and table relations, creating valid arguments, valid functions, and complex calculated expressions.  Students will perform “hands-on” database upgrade/migration to SQL Server database.  Students will learn how to customize their FMS Projects and setup/configure advanced routing techniques for Move Management and Service Requests.  Students will learn advanced dynamic drawing queries, multiple/mass update of data, advance report development, advanced “what-if” scenarios, and check-out/check-in drawings.  Students will learn some advanced techniques to polyline drawings and create room tags automatically.  Students will learn how to develop advanced reports using Crystal Reports ® and/or SQL Reporting Services ® .

FM:Systems ® CAFM Software – FM:Interact © (Web-based Module) – Basic Training

Course Number:  AKA-TFMIBASIC01

Duration:  2-Days, 8 AM – 5 PM

Cost:  $ 1,200 – TOTAL GROUP PRICE – Group Training Class up to 6 Students.  ($200/student, with minimum charge of $1,200 per class, regardless of class size.)

Overview:  Hands-On training of FM:Systems web-based portal product: “FM:Interact ® “.  Students will learn how to install, setup, and configure FM:Interact ® Software, including creating virtual directory in Microsoft Internet Information Service and setup ODBC System DSN connection on application server.  Other topics include: How to configure and customize the main FM:Interact web page to fit Customer’s unique needs; how to add/edit/delete FM:Interact User Groups; how to add/edit/delete FM:Interact Users; how to manage Page Permissions; how to create customized FM:Interact web views and assign page permissions.  Students will also learn how to: create and define a new site; create building/floor html pages; how to configure info views and search and query views; how to setup DWF publishing settings; how to publish CAD drawings to FM:Interact web site (including layers, graphic views, queries, cross-hatching, etc).  Students will learn how to setup basic FM:Interact role-based permissions for use with web-based Move Management and Service Requests; setup Move and Service Request approval routing and email notification routing, and how to close-out and archive Move and Service Requests.

Course Number:  AKA-TFMIADVANCE01

Duration:  2-Days, 8 AM – 5 PM

Cost:  $ 1,500 – TOTAL GROUP PRICE – Group Training Class up to 6 Students.  ($250/student, with minimum charge of $1,500 per class, regardless of class size.)

Overview:  Hands-On training of Advanced FM:Systems web-based portal product: “FM:Interact ® “ and customizations based on unique Customer requirements and Customer work-flow and business-logic.  Students will learn how to create customized web-portal application and user screens that dynamically display different main portal page depending upon user login and various user audiences.  Students will learn how to customize FM:Interact user permissions to be based on user’s network NT authentication login.  Students will learn how to customize the routing process and email notification for different scenarios that are not available by the software “out-of-the-box” solutions.  Users will learn how to modify the existing classic ASP and/or ASP.Net framework web code in order to customize the software to provide additional and advanced features not readily available.  Users will learn how to customize the Move Management module in order to provide a better interface for multiple moves and move projects.  Students will be provided several template classic ASP and ASP.Net code examples for use in developing their own application-specific code.
